The Staff
Gillian started at Hand in Hand as our volunteer bookkeeper in June 2005 and joined the paid staff in January 2007. Gillian is married to Clive, with whom she has two children and three grandchildren.
Clive has assisted Hand in Hand since 1996 using his wealth of experience of both the commercial and voluntary sectors. He has travelled extensively, initiating, developing and supporting projects in Africa, Asia and the Balkans and has lived in the Philippines and the USA. He eventually became a Trustee in June 2004 but resigned to join the staff in April 2005 bringing into the charity his fundraising, administration and project development skills. Clive is a Methodist Local Preacher and worships at Moulsham Lodge Methodist Church in Chelmsford. With his wife Gillian they have two children and three grandchildren.
Esther joined the staff team on 1st April 2010. She is Kenyan and will be working with our projects in East Africa offering support and looking into resourcing funding in Africa. Her background is in agriculture but she successfully managed the Centre of Hope project in Nakuru for many years. She is married and has two young children.
