Hand in Hand supporters find a multitude of ways to raise money to support specific projects or the overall work of the charity. We appreciate each and every effort and can lend support to your efforts by providing publicity and pictures where appropriate for you event.
Doing something for charity is one of the most rewarding things that you can do, especially when it also involves challenging yourself to do something you never thought you could!
Fundraising appeals are a great way to get a group of people involved in supporting a particular project. A number of our projects have needs that range from new buildings to ongoing school fees. Many supporters start an appeal for a particular projects need; they will then raise the required fees through a number of different ways. Some supporters in the past have collected through card making, selling homemade jam and selling Jewellery.
Many of our supporters have raised money in support of our project partners by doing something extraordinary. Whether it be running the London Marathon, cycling from Lands End to John O'Grotts or even sailing around the world! Sponsored silences, walks and parachute jumps are just a few more things that our supporters have done to raise money for our work in the past.
If you would like to raise some money to support Hand in Hand via a sponsored event then we would love to hear your idea and help you on your way. Please ‘get in touch’ with us if you want to get more information on how to 'Get Yourself Sponsored'
Whilst sponsored events are the first idea for some, others like a more relaxed style of fundraising such as coffee mornings, themed meals in a home or church, group abseils and car washes. These type of events enable lots of people to feel apart of the whole fundraising experience.
